Personality:

Sam is ultimately a nice person who enjoys helping others, simply loves teaching and sharing anecdotes. However she has two main flaws which mean life hardly ever runs smooth when she's around. Firstly Sam is impulsive and has the somewhat romantic tendency to get swept up by an idea and immediately change course. This usually means that she is rarely where she SHOULD be. Secondly, despite being rather shy and fragile Sam has come to the conclusion that you have to put yourself out there in order to make friends. For this reason she is a terrible flirt (Although 90% this is completely non-sexual).

To sum up Sam if you want help just ask her, but don't be surprised if she accidentally forgets and starts chasing squirrels around a nearby tree believing that squirrel soup is the best thing ever.


Character History:

Born in Oxford shire, England Sam K E Huntington-Ford represented the pinnacle of high society at the time. The two families of Ford and Huntington had combined after centuries of competition against one another, due to Sam parents marrying out of so called love. Sam's father doted on her while he was there, but he often wasn't due to be a hedge-fund manager. Sam's mother was often away too and this meant that Sam had to learn to deal with things herself (A house staff of 48 helped a bit too).

Graduating from Oxford with a 2.1 in English Literature and Classics she was all set to find something to do. Her hobbies and interests were vast, including, paleontology, archaeology, botany, animal husbandry, Japanese history, English History, manga, Literature, philosophy and flirting with eligible members of the Royal Family. Also she developed a keen interest in practical humour as a way of dealing with the more stuffy side of British aristocracy. Lord Barker's wife has never been the same since the party they held in 2009, to which they had invited Sam.

Sam took after her father in one key respect, when crisis struck she was always bone-crushingly pragmatic and uninhibited by emotion, which of course meant that when Sam and some fellow post graduates from Oxford were attacked by zombies whilst on a trip around America, she was the only one prepared enough to radically change her outlook and circumstances. After the initial attack Sam made her way with two surviving friends to the nearest town to find it dead and yet still occupied. Few variations existed in that area and so Sam had a mild introduction to fighting the un-dead, focusing mostly on wiping out hordes rather than specialized combat.

Here love of history and tactical warfare served her well and for a time the town's handful of living residents prospered. However infighting caused a rift and quickly the group disbanded to seek individual goals. Sam began to hear rumours of a large group doing well down south, so her and her friend (the one remaining one) headed towards it. On the way Sam had to shoot her infected friend. A mercy killing and sadly far from the first or last.

Arriving at ZHA with a few more quirks than even the most eccentric English nobleman can claim to have and pregnant, she quickly formed a connection and settled down to do what she could and raise her daughter, who she named Rosy.

After the closure of ZHA Sam left with Rosy and tried to find out the reasons behind the outbreak. Rosy, who had always been a poorly child, continued to weaken. Despite Sam's best efforts to find a source and therefore possibly a cure to the virus, Rosy passed away after suffering a fever for a week. It's hard to say what Sam did after Sam lost her daughter. All that is known is that 6 months later Sam found herself in Puerto Rico chasing rumours of a school once more. Reunited with her friends Sam made an effort to return to her old self but her sense of humour and childish nature is greatly reduced. She will very rarely cry or get excessively angry or happy. A part of her died too and now she throws herself into her work. There is no point looking to the past. Treasure the memories and look to the future and the possibility of destroying the zombie threat for all-time.

Drawbacks:
*Stubborn, Sam while very tactically orientated has a resolute strain of British nobility pride. Because of this she won't back down or retreat unless it is a serious danger to someone else. Her own life is cheap in her eyes and she will stick with a plan or action long after it should be abandoned.

*To mention her daughter disrespectfully is to invite a maelstrom of violence, just don't do it. Sam would gladly cause serious harm to the protagonist and herself in order to shut them up.

*Has abandoned her real name in favour of the surname Jones
* Was pregnant when she arrived but lost the child due to an infection of some sort. This is why Althea and Sam despite being very different are quite close deep down.
*She can speak Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish and English (Uk) fluently.
*Always wears a blue ribbon choker even in bed.
*Used to wear a blue hair ribbon (giving to her by Rosy's father) but she gave it to Rosy on her 1st Birthday.
